Household Items Shopping Guide

Hi guys,

I moved to Singapore two months back and so had to spend time setting up new place here. Setting up a new place is always a great experience and I would like to share this one with you. This post is all about where to shop household items.

1.  Daiso Japan

Daiso Japan is a place where you can find mostly all household items. The best part about this store is everything is at 2 SGD. Isn’t it great? I just can’t resist myself buying lot of stuff whenever I visit Daiso Japan. Here is list of some stuff I bought from Daiso:

  • Clothes Hanger (7 Hanger for 2$)
  • Dustbin
  • Washing bag
  • Food Container
  • Glass Juice Jug
  • Ball (For my girl)
  • Silicone Spatula
  • Ballon Whisk
  • Potato Masher
  • Dustpan

2.  Japan Home:

Japan home is second one on my list. When I don’t find specific items in Daiso Japan I prefer to check Japan Home. There is always some kind of offer going on in there. Here is what I got from Japan Home:

  • Yoga Mat
  • Laddle

  • Spatula
  • Big Spoon
  • Pizza Cutter
  • Glass Food Container

3. Ikea:

Ikea is place where you can find everything for home from furniture to spoon. Yes, you heard me right. Ikea is one place where you can find everything for home at one place. What I bought from there:

4. Little India:

Little India is street with around 150 to 200 retail shops where you can find almost everything. The best part is you feel like you are India while shopping there as they have all Indian items. I also got my pressure cooker repaired there. What I have bought:

  • Mixer and Grinder
  • Wax and Waxing Stips
  • Fruit and Veggies

5. Mustafa Centre:

Mustafa Centre is shopping mall in Little India selling more than 300000 items. It is one of the attraction for tourist for its wide variety of products. You can find Indian grocery items, snacks and utensils at Mustafa easily. What I have bought:

  • Snacks
  • Grocery
  • Chocolates
  • Bakery Items
  • Pani Puris

South Indian shops are another places where you can find Indian grocery and vegetables. Velan is one of the South Indian stores near Sengkang Kopitam.
